Are there any members who have taken out a subscription with Egg and have had their charger installed at a rate of £30 a month?
They claim to fit the charger for an all inclusive price for whatever period of time you want it. As the cost of a charger installation can now be at least £1000+ a three year charge of £1080 doesn’t seem too bad. It also allows you to save up over that time and have another charger installed if you cancel the subscription.
It also allows you to change to some of the special EV tariffs offered by some companies, which being on a Granny Charger you can’t!
Are there any members who have investigated and possibly had a charger put in by the company? Pitfalls, problems, service? Any comments please.
Any other way to get a ‘free’ charger? I think a few electricity companies would install one free if you switched to them - do they still exist?
