Hi all,
I live in Croatia and since about 2 weeks ago a bunch of us with MG4 cars all models and years, different phones, iSmart app versions etc. have the same issue.
We are no longer able to remotely control the car. Except for one person, he is able to use the app the same as before and there is nothing special about his car/phone.
Some people reported they can sometimes on rare occasions get the updates in the iSmart app for like 5 minutes and then it stops working again.
For me personally it was working normally for months until the 4th of September and since then I can not even get one update. I do receive alerts/messages for low tire pressure for example. We have tested so many things but since the issue started at rougly the same time for all of us we believe now that there is some issue with MG servers/database.
It was reported through the dealers official channels but there is no reply yet from MG.
Has any other country had the same/similar situation? Was it resolved eventually?
All of us sent emails to [email protected] and mostly no reply. Some people did get a reply to take their car to the dealer to check the TBOX.
MG's analysis indicates that there is a fault with the vehicle's telematics box and that is blocking the MG iSmart app from connecting.
But this makes NO sense, this just puts more doubt that MG is actually not aware of any wider issue and is not doing anything to fix it.
They are basically saying all our cars broke down at the same time. The dealer confirms there is nothing wrong with the TBOX.
What do you make of this situation? For me it's quite frustrating...
