Hey, good day guys. I took my MG 4 SE to paramin hills about 3 months ago, the power limiter warning came up about about t3 time. ever since it feels like the car power response is a bit low and laggy and doesn't accelerate as fast as it used to. Like the power being displayed on the dash doesn't feel like it, but when im using cruse control and one pedal mode it moves normally. and in sport mode it feels like the vehicle is restricting power, idk if this makes sense, but the throttle feels softer. same with the brakes. Does anyone know what may be wrong? Thanks in advance.

There is a power limiter? That must be a very steep hill, or was it a traction control function? I'd book in for the dealership to asses the problem, poor throttle response is one thing, but the brakes feeling soft is serious and should be attended to straight away ..... so, I;d lead with the problem first when trying to get the vehicle looked at, they aren't likely to put you off when it comes to a safety item

Assuming you’re talking about the turtle symbol? @T1 Terry its more like a limp mode really.

Yeah it was a few steep hills, it I booked a service appointment. I carried it in about 2 months ago for the same two issues and a regen braking problem they did a software update and a reset but that just fixed the regen braking. Now every time I start the vehicle I get this notification "Ambient temperature low. Switch on Intelligent Battery Heating?" So I called the dealership and the guy said carried it back because that not supposed to come up because we're in the Carribbean. But I'll keep you guys updated after I get the service thanks for the replies tho.

You could try the " disconnect the 12v battery " trick, leave it disconnected for 20 minuets then earth out the live lead to dissipate any spare voltages left in capacitors etc, re-connect and reset the windows /steering functions. Basically a reset which a dealer workshop should do? and see if it makes a difference.
