Anyone had a go at fitting a tow bar/ball - just looking for an inexpensive easy to fit item to pull a small lightweight trailer

Be aware that if you fit a non-approved tow-bar you will invalidate your warranty.
MG supply and fit their own approved tow-bars, expensive but keeps your warranty intact.

I got the genuine, it was same price as aftermarket.

Genuine is a class 4 towbar rated to 3500kg, car is only rated to 500kg

I fitted mine, a few hours work, no bumper cuts. Not too difficult if you've done one before. Bought the brink specific wiring kit and clipper into most connectors ok.

We put bikes on and tow a small trailer.

Just messaged dealer for MG stance. Seems a nonsense to me

Hi Danny. I'd like to replace my Nissan Micra with an MG 4 EV and be able to tow my small trailer. My search for a car so equipped has failed so I'm tempted by the DIY route. Did you have to do anything with the car's software or is it a nuts, bolts and electrics job? Were the instructions in understandable English? Did you break many plastic clips etc?
