Good evening everyone,
Has anybody tried towing mode for driving when not towing? It has the debatable benefit of turning off all the driver assistance features. Lka, beeping when reversing, emergency brake assistance, etc. Abs and traction control still works. It's almost like driving an old fashioned car when in towing mode. When the car is turned off, and back on, it remains enabled, subject to acknowledgement of a warning on screen.

I only make two "settings changes" before setting off.
Use the "pull down" menu and turn off ELK and then go to the Driving menu and turn on OPD.
I don't turn off LKA.
It's ELK that is the "trouble maker" IMHO.
I use ACC all the time. I no longer have the steering try to kill me ;)

For the roads I drive on , its always on . I miss the reversing sensors but that's about it. If I was doing regular longish trips on the motorways I would turn it off , so ACC could be used , which means getting used to driving the same car in two guises. One where you are in charge and responsible to the other where you have an invisible tut tutting ,binging bonging message flashing interfering 1960s civil servant sitting in the passenger seat. 💼
