Hello,

next week, we want to change the summer tires to all-season tires. They have the same dimensions (215/55/17). Is there something to consider for the shop regarding the installed TPMS sensors? Where is the sensor located on each tire?

Bye.

Ask the tyre shop to mark each WHEEL / RIM with its original location on the car, prior to removal.
Then when the new tyre is fitted, ensure it is returned to the very same location as it was prior to the new tyres getting replaced !..
Do not switch / change the original location of each of the wheels / rims !.
Each wheel is programmed to that same location on the car, do not mix them up.
If you mix the front to the back wheels for example, it will indicate likewise.

This should not be a problem for gen2 I say this as tyre size suggests gen2 but its good advice for gen1
On gen2 if wheels end up in the wrong place you would have to drive over 25mph for about 10mins there is a way round this and that is to add air into the tyres with car in ready mode the increase/drop in pressure activates the senses but the 10 min drive is not exactly hard

That’s very interesting info @N2STY .
Is it a different TPMS system on the Gen2 model then ?.
I certainly know if you disconnect the 12 volt battery on the Gen2 model, it will loose all of the current tyre pressure readings in the car.
As you say, a short drive will allow the car to relearn the tyre pressures and repopulate the read out.

@Lovemyev
From what I can work out same tpms sensor but self learning software on gen2
