Whilst producing photos for another thread I set my Trophy charging using the granny charger. I was distracted and left it charging beyond the short boost I wanted. It reached 41% before I remember it so I opened the app and set the charge limit to 40%. I wanted to see if the car would stop charging immediately or continue to the last charge limit setting.

It did neither but entered balancing as indicated by the charge continuing, the charge level remaining at 41% and the end time updating in line with clock time. Balancing took just over 1 hour. I did not open the car to see the info display as that would have stopped the charge and I wanted to see how long the charge continued.

I'll try that but does not unlocking the car cause charging to be interrupted?

In the past when I tried to see the balancing message on the centre screen, when the car was balancing, the car failed to resume charging.

After you have unlocked the driver's door what do you do next? Or does the information come up on a screen automatically? Does it show the battery balancing message when the car is doing that?

Unlocking the driver’s door only will not interrupt an AC charging, unlike what happens when you unlock all the doors.
Once the driver’s door is unlocked the driver’s screen comes on showing you the state of charge.
you can sit in the drivers seat and the infotainment screen will come on too.
All the while charging is not interrupted.

I didn't know that. Although I don't think I can be bothered changing the setting to open only the driver's door. I'd only forget to change it back.
