The MG Cyberster promotional tour undertaken by the adventure seeking Turner twins by driving from London to Shanghai in a Cyberster concluded without much fanfare. Not much more was made of the tour other than some photos and brief description of the stop points. Of course they used many Cybersters in each visiting country and actually did not undertake such a challenging journey. No details on the logistics or charging issues or other pertinent details. Seems it just fizzled out.

Thats the car the took apart apparently. There wasn't much about the car but how do you know it was different Cybersters? They had a support van all the way.

I was informed the cars in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines were different and obtained locally. I seriously doubt they drove the same car on the entire journey. No documentary of the challenges. Just tourist photos in the chosen countries. Border crossings would be a logistical nightmare. I also think while in country it was a localized publicity tour and not navigating through on their way out to the next destination. Sure they had a support team. I was in touch by email with one of the guys during their stint in Thailand. They were on their way to Chiang Mai and a day later they were in the Philippines. Just curious as the event just ended with a wimper. I was hoping for an award winning documentary on Netflix! As in Ewan Mcgregor ?

I just looked over some photos in various locations. I see Trophy wheels in some pics and GT wheels in other pics. And I think I see the slightly different interiors of the various preproduction cars.

It looks like the Trophy wheel pics were all in China. So no real help. This is not a serious topic. Just too much time on my hands! :)

Interesting, no Netflix documentaries better off using that money to fly staff out to do some proper training instead at the factory. They finished up in China apparently.
