I update android MG app and now I have the option to use the phone as a key for the cyberster but I cannot connect. Did you also get this option? Could you make it work?
But did you get to start the car and drive without the key?I hadn't tried it until now, I just tried it and it worked perfectly for me, with the app I opened the doors, I also have an Android phone
You can lock and unlock, but what is not working for me is to start the car. The other I could do it beforeThat's great news. Can you open the door with the button on the door, if you just have your phone in your pocket (bluetooth on, app not open)?
Why not just open by hand with the key in your pocket ?You need to use you phone and press the relevant icon on the app to lock & unlock
And what if your phone battery's flat when you lose your key ?What if you lose your key when out?
I agree it isn't a day to day thing but a nice back up
Yes, but in case I don't have the key I can use the phone to start the car and drive. I have a Tesla and I am so used to take a key with me and honestly I never run out of battery on the phone. Is it not just easier, to open the door, with the little button on the door handle. Can't be much simpler than that. Instead of trying to over complicate things.![]()
On Cyberster now I have the option to activate the digital key on Android, but it fails to enable it.Yes the car runs. Maybe that is a Zv thing vs cyberster
Exactly. The idea surely in using the phone as the key is that it give "Keyless Entry" as the Tesla does. Walk up to the car and you can open the car then foot on the brake (or press start) and you can drive the car. Afterwards, you just park the car get out and walk away with the phone in your pocket the whole time and the car will lock and close the windows.Yes, but in case I don't have the key I can use the phone to start the car and drive. I have a Tesla and I am so used to take a key with me and honestly I never run out of battery on the phone.
