Considering trying camping with V2L and my MG5 EV. Anyone have any V2L experience with this car specifically? Any good tips on what devices work well this with this and tent camping?

How much power (approx) do devices like kettles, small heaters (typical handy camping appliances) generally draw from an EV? In my head I'm thinking it'll use a lot and I'd need to be really careful not to drain the battery before a drive home. But then again I've pumped up two paddleboards at once and it didnt even change a percentage of capacity so maybe I'm under-estimating the batteries real size?

If I plug the V2L adapter into a multiplug, will it handle multiple devices drawing power from it?

Should I be wary of cheap V2L adapters? Seems the price ranges from £26 up to £126! I'm surprised MG don't do official V2L adapters?

I bought a cheap one on ebay and it worked fine. I used it for a couple of days while camping and used a kettle, toaster, and a one ring induction hob. You'd need to be a bit careful about the kettle as some are 3kW and the V2L is rated for something like 2.8kW. I wouldn't worry about flattening the battery as the car will take care of that but I wouldn't use a heater as that could be quite a lot of power for a long time. I use a fairly heavy duty extension lead that has 2 outputs. I wouldn't use 2 high power items at the some time though.
Does anyone know what happens if you try to draw more power than the MG says it can deliver?

I have traing and the MG5 cut at 3000W . With no damage.

What do you mean by cut? Power turns off on V2L cable?

From my MG4 I’ve used twin induction hob and fan heater when camping with no issues, charged up e-bikes and run power tools- charged a Renault Zoe for an hour with no issues too.

MG5 cut the power. When you use more than 3000 Watts.
