In addition to my other post re the London CC, ULEZ, LEZ advice perhaps those more local could help with some other information.
In June my wife wants to visit Hampton Court so I have booked a Premier in at Chessington with the intention of using public transport for the visit. I picked Chessington simply because it was 'fairly close'. We are booked in on the Friday night with tickets to HCP for the Saturday.

I have no knowledge of the local public transport so is this a bad choice or good, would anyone have any other suggestions. I can cancel my booking without penalty if I need to and re-book elsewhere.

Also looking for something to do on the Sunday whilst based there before moving down to the south coast to continue the Royal Palace sightseeing at the Royal Pavilion in Brighton.

Thanks in advance, I hope somebody can comment.

Can’t comment on public transport, howeve there is reasonably cheap parking at HCP or at the nearby rail station provided you’re there early enough.

Nice to know, but what time is early enough on a Saturday in June, and where do you go if you are not early enough.
We have had to pick a time slot for entering HCP for our tickets so tardiness may not be an option.

Depending on the weather, 9-10am should do it. The rail station is only 5 minutes walk away if the HCP car park is full
