Just picked up our Trophy ER. Love the drive but the voice command recognition seems to be, well, pants!
I can connect phone via Bluetooth and the contacts sync fine.
If I say "Call ****" it seems to pick a random contact and cll them. I do have a quote strong West (Gods) country accent ?. But I tried the wife's voice and it was the same.
Hands free calling would appear to be useless.
Or, do I need to train it somehow like you do with Alexa and the like?
It's going to be a real problem going forward if we can't make calls reliably using voice commands.
Any pointers on how to improve this much appreciated.

I reliably use Android Auto in mine.

Google searches, Alexa, Amazon Music, Phone Calls, all reliably carried out with a long press on the voice button.

The cars voice recognition was not great from the start, but sidelining it via Android Auto works for me.

Thanks for that. Haven't tried android auto yet. Only had the car a few hours ?. I'll pop out and give that a go.

I tried the voice assistant on my test drive for navigation, it was awful, my car was delivered last Thursday and have only used it with Android Auto which works perfectly. Awaiting my wireless adapter for AA now.

Android Auto is an absolute miracle. And it works in the SE too. I absolutely flabbergasted the reception girl who did the handover after my car was upgraded to R13 by plugging in the phone and saying "Tesla Inverness" to the car.

One day they'll have usable charger recognition/advice in there too!

If you find an adapter that acrually works, please let me know! I have tried 3 without luck :-(

I bought one of these, paired it up in a few seconds and leave it plugged in. AA is up quickly and just works, it's only been a few days but no issues so far.

it does stay active when the car is switched off but I can't see it using much power, I probably would remove if leaving the car for a long time like going on holiday.

Did you set delay to 30 seconds? Mine would not work until I did this, now works flawlessly. The advice and method (it is easy to do) is I think in the thread link need above. I am very grateful to the member that posted the advice. You also have to delete the Bluetooth connection from phone to car before installing

I haven't set any delay in mine and it's been working fine, albeit only 3 days, I'm on infotainment R40.

Is the 30 second delay adapter reliant?

I didn't disconnect the BT connection to the car either.
