ZS Trophy Connect nearly 2 years old. Had a clear out of the boot a few weeks back - lots of water resting under the plastic/rubber liner on the boot floor and spilling out on top of the liner. Being serviced tomorrow so asked to dealer to look at it - no chance - that requires an MG diagnostic check and they are fully booked up to mid October! Cost would be £160 to look at it but may be a warranty issue.

Anyone had any similar water ingress into the boot floor issues and how was it dealt with?

there were some posts somewhere about water in the doors, think that was a simple matter of making sure drain holes are not blocked. In your case, you most likely have a leaking seal on the boot door ... after 2 years, rubber seals are probably no longer covered by warranty

see if you can figure out where the water comes from and when - ? could even be your own doing if you are too enthusiastic when you wash the car ...

Check the seals around the rear light clusters that's a common site for water ingress to the boot.

I have the same issue with the water in the boot and it’s also spread out to the front of the car. The water is everywhere on the floor. Discovered recently when was vacuuming my car and spotted a few drops of water in the boot. When lifted up plastic/fabric liner there were lots of water. I only purchased my MG Excite in the mid of April this year. Any advise?

there could be a drainage hole somewhere that needs opening but if the water is coming in, get it to your dealer to find the leak and fix whilst under warranty.

Water was travellig from sunroof and dealer initially thought it needed a whole new sunroof installing (aagghhhh) - but on closer inspection found a blocked drainage hole and cleared it FOC.

I've had simular issues on cars with sunroofs so was not surprised at the outcome.

Hi what was the outcome? I have discovered water on the left hand side of the boot where the netting is .
Hello, I've been told that water was getting in the boot through two places: through the rear light on the left side, they fixed it , but then the car been left outside under the rain and it's got flooded again. They removed everything from the car and found the place just above the same light where the el. cables from boot connecting to the main car body ( seal clips were broken and the water was sipping in).
