Just a quick one, just been to a EV Power 150kw charger, car was on 30 miles when I got there.
I understand that it not going to take in 150kw, but was only getting 16 to 22kw at best, is this normal.
Thanks

That does sem low. If it was cold may take a while to warm up.
My MG5 should get to about 80kwh but the largest EVSE i have used is 50kw and got about 42kwh

There seem to be so many variables in the amount of charge our cars take.
The three rapid charges shown on my attached statement are from the same charge point and the amount of charge obtained are not in proportion to the length of time charging.
Initial battery state when charging started is probably the cause of some of the difference but other factors must be contributing also.

It does sound very low. So you started with about 20-25% battery remaining. It is fairly cold but I would expect 35-45 KW at this temperature and that starting battery. Try another charger. As you are in Bristol, perhaps the gridserve at Molies. Expect 40-55KW in the summer.
