Hi All,
I'm picking up my MY24 MG4 Trophy Extended Range later this week, and am thinking about the things I need to check prior to leaving the garage. I'm OK with general condition, undertray bulge, charging cables etc but it's the software I'm more concerned about.

I've had the discussion with the dealer about ensuring all updates are applied, got a non committal it should be on the latest software (R63) but not a "it will be", is this likely with an MY24?

I also had the discussion about service plan and updates, the plan is decent value, but basically told no automatic updates, so I am really hoping it comes with R63, I have been assured the SC077, which is a must for me will be done as part of the PDI.

Anything else of importance?

Thanks for any help.

Hi, when you ordered the car did the dealer say what cables it comes with ie did you negotiate a type2 to type2 cable as they only come with a granny.
There is a thread about picking up a new car, try a few words in the search bar.
I hope everything works out OK for you.

Ask the dealer to confirm what the PDI will cover, I'd be shocked if the software on a brand new vehicle was not updated before you took possesion. You might be better paying as you go for the servicing, unless financing gives you peace of mind and allows you to budget more effectively, you'll save money by going that route (see example below).
