Hi all so you will remember my posts last year with all my vibrating I had and then the heating pte system failing.

Well I now have a suspension fault as i complained of a lot of noise when going over speed bumps and I was told my rear left shock is faulty and would need replacing but due to warranty you only have 3 years on suspension so they are at a cost of £240 including labour.

In a bit of a sticking point here as I've asked for the car back for now as I have a complaint with the ombudsman as the finance company have been very unhelpful in the process so I've got some questions

1. Would you contest this with mg and ask for a goodwill for all the hassle I've had

2. Pass this on to the ombudsman for further review

3. Get the work done and swallow it and move on

If you can afford it and do not want the hassle then you have your answer.

However, it begs the question of how is it possible in today's car market that a car fails its first MoT (which it would with a duff shock).

This might be a little 'Left field' but I cured what I thought was either ball joints or drop link noise by adjusting the bonnet catch. Pushing down on the bonnet I could detect a few millimeters of play. The noise was only apparent going at slow speed over speed bumps and really noisy. Once adjusted all was good!
