That is true when comparing us with the far east but EU, UK, USA have broadly similar social/infrastructure costs so there shouldn't be a huge difference in the value of individual goods sold in those regions no matter what the original source.It's absurd to simply compare the cost of an item and say we are being fleeced. Wages are different, housing costs, benefits, social infrastructure, taxes, there are all kinds of variable affecting prices.
Our choice of vehicle is relatively lower cost through those regions because of its source so the argument about unfair production costs for UK manufacturers is a different subject.
