This was on another forum. An MG 'granny' EVSE through a cat flap on an old 13A socket.
The charred area is on the neutral side, so probably a loose terminal.The plug caused that, not the socket. Probably a slightly loose termination in the plug, or the fuse holder wasn't tight.
I don't trust any socket that includes USB outlets in my experience they are too compromised to be safe.This socket was used for a heater not on constantly as it cuts out when the temperature is reached.

I granny charge all the time. The plug doesn't even get warm and the pins look as new as they did the day I collected the car.
