My MyEnergi app had an update recently (had - because it wasn't optional). All good you might think. But maybe not. In the golden, sun-kissed (!) halcyon days of February the app used to say "Waiting for surplus" when in the ECO+ setting. Clear as a bell. Now it says "Finished" or "Completed" or "Stopped", all of which are meaningless. Tried the usual reboot everything but to no effect. Amazingly Wales experienced sunshine yesterday and exceeded the 1.4kW surplus needed for charging on ECO+ but nothing happened. Stopping and restarting ECO+ a few times eventually got it to start charging. There's nothing obvious on the MyEnergi Forum. Is anyone else experiencing these symptoms with their Zappi system? Anyone fixed it (Ron Hopeful)?

Try the myenergi forum. I am not seeing this on my zappi.

Here in 'sunny' Norfolk I'm getting 1-3kW from the panels so I just use the granny for a few hours, at least that way I can use as much solar as possible.

Another Zappi strangeness. We had a scheduled power outage this morning. The Powerwall detected the power drop and switched to battery as expected. However, the Zappi sitting in Eco+ mode decided to change to Fast mode which starting to drain the battery at 7.5kw (not good) and continued pulling from the grid when the power reconnected - I use scheduled charging at the cheapest night rate if I want to charge from the grid so was not impressed to be using daytime rate. Only noticed the problem as I happened to enter the garage, otherwise it would have continued all day. Sod's law says I'm trying to run the charge down to 10% to do a full recharge...
