if it's really bad, just leave the aircon on Auto and set the temperature that you want. That will prevent misting.
If it's bearable, I sometimes just open the window or direct fan to blow to windscreen only with no A/C. On that setting I can just turn it on and off when needed with fan ON/OFF button under the screen.

Just make sure that you don't recycle cabin air, set it to show air coming in from the outside (unless using auto A/C)

Do you mean that the windscreen keeps steaming up? So does mine, but you can limit this by not running the car in ECO mode. In ECO mode, the car heater and cooling are also toned down.

If you use auto mode, then decided to make changes to the setting manually, it will sometimes put the car into the recirc mode.
Just watch out for this one, as the cabin will mist up will almost instantly in this mode.
Over a period of use, the front windscreen of any car, a cloudy haze forms on the inside of the glass.
The cause of this is thought to be, because when hot is constantly passing through the plastic air ducts, the plastic slowly releases an oily film that builds up on the inside of the glass.
This layer of film then accelerates the missing process.
If you are sitting parked in your car in good weather and with the sun passing through the glass,
If you take your finger and then pull it across the glass, if it is instantly visible, then that is a sure sign that you have the film build up on the glass.
A couple of micro fibre clothes and a glass cleaning produce is the cure.
When the glass is clean it reduces the speed of the misting.

I had a weird one today.
I drove the car first thing and demisted the windows like normal, then the front camera gave me a warning it wasn't working and doing all forward collision stuff.
When I looked at it when I got to where I was going, the little triangle of window in front of the the camera but built into the reversing mirror was still badly misted up.
Took until about 10am to clear.

My car is weird, niggly and contrary sometimes ??

That's fairly normal, the camera is not hermetically sealed so when the windscreen gets foggy, it gets in front of the camera too - also, instructions say to keep the windscreen where the camera is clean - for obvious reasons ...?

Also, I have noticed that on a few occasions that when the sun suddenly appears, say from behind a dark cloud or when you finish climbing a steep incline and reach the peak.
As the strong sun light hits the front camera head on, this sudden input of strong light clwill catch the sensor off guard and will instantly trigger the same warning messages that you are seeing.
After a couple of minutes the messages will clear themselves from the dash panel.

My settings -
Dry conditions: leave it on auto.
Wet conditions: air intake external; output to screen & feet; fan adjust between 4 - max depending on how badly it is misting up.
