Hi Forum.Just purchased an EV before lock down .I tied to change the seating position but the electric control mechanism does not operate the chair. The only thing I have not done is pressed factory reset.I read the owners paper version book provides with the car.I've checked the fuse under the cash both to no avail.Has anyone tried the reset to factory settings

Mine works full stop and wouldn’t see why it would need a reset...worth a try I would say, but I would guess it would be a simply local unit failure.

I did a re-set, but it didn't fix my problem, the only downside I spotted, was having to put all my preferences back in.

Thanks for your replies.Only done about forty .miles since New a month ago.

I noticed the small battery meter was below 80% so I'm charging it on a ordinary car battery 12 volt charge whilst I'm charging the main car.

I also looked under the drivers chair, the wire which feeds something in for heater element was not coming out of the carpet quite right so I've put the wire in the hole by the cut section and pushed in the connectors.

I will post again the outcome after everything is fully done and keep you posted. If this does not work I have a friend who is an AA patrol.Last result

That low voltage in the 12volt battery is a good bet for your trouble.
FYI the 12v battery is charged from the HV battery so if you can “start” the car it should automatically charge the 12v battery.

Hi Mgkev
I only left the 12v charger on the small battery for an hour

charged main for same time.Main became fully charged 12v did not increase its strength.Tried wires.no good has never gone up to max but as I said we've only done 40 miles so the 12v bag works radio roof Windows so it's had quite a pull on it cars garage so lights come on all the time to.I shall leave 12v charger on overnight see if it's that battery. If not A A patrol. On the positive side he was at one point patrol of the year. Before buying the car I asked how many calls he New of and the only one he could remember was when the breakdown had run out of juice and had to be towed .

Hooray .As a result of an unfortunate incident today we had a water leak. Our plumber repaired the problem swiftly.Only 30 quid and a washer. In conversation with Jason our plumber he formerly prepped New vehicles was an audio car engineer and had rec entry bought a vehicle mapped for faults.Jason checked for faults there were none.He checked the the fuse on a meter no problem. He then re checked the cone action under the chair pushed it it clicked home result seat works.Thank you all for your help different set of eyes and knowledge.
Jason said sometimes a new model comes into the UK with standard seat covers and is adapted at the do cms so perhaps the socket was just not fully located so good news no flood at home and now my wife can drive the car as well

Thanks for the update, it’s good to hear solutions that may one day help in other problems we encounter
