Radio Question for my MGZS EV

Hi Guys radio question,
No doubt been discussed before but after every journey why doesn't the radio turn off automatically when you turn off ignition?
I tend to now mute on steering wheel button when getting out but was just curious if there is another setting?
I assume after a few minutes it automatically switches off or when you lock car but again if this can be confirmed please?

Yes
quite a few manufacturers do this now but normally the radio switches off when you open the door

Thank you for reply, i know when i have gone back to car a couple mins later without locking it, the radio was still playing and just wasn't sure if that's normal or a fault!

It will stay on for 10 mins

As soon as you lock the car the radio goes off.

The info unit is linked into the same 10 minute delay shut down, when you are playing the radio in STANDBY mode also.
It WILL only play continuously ( without shutting itself down ) when you are in READY mode.
As you lock the car with the fob, it will kill the feed to the info unit.
If you forget to lock car, the radio will shutdown anyway after 10 minutes.
It's a rather strange odd set up to be honest.

Press and hold the home button for 3 to 4 seconds and it will turn the radio off.
