Fully Charged Show Farnborough

A few thoughts on my visit to the Fully Charged show on Friday.

Signage to the park and ride car park when arriving from London is abysmal. If you run out of signs because you have overshot, turn round and signage from a different approach is better.

The grassy car park and some of the outdoor areas are soggy and already muddy.

Exhibitors are as expected, heavily weighted to EV charging solutions. I was hoping for more solar and home battery specialists. There are plenty of new EVs to inspect including Genesis, Ora, MG4, Ford.

All in all a good day out.

ironically no! The park and ride car park is a vast soggy field with no charging infrastructure.

I am heading to the North show at Harrogate in 3 weeks, hoping it isn't a cut down version of Farnborough.

Yes, I was there yesterday. As you say, the parking was in a grass field - not sure what state that’ll be in if it rains again. However I thought the actual parking process was so much easier than the last couple of years where we’ve queued for over an hour to get into the site. Anticipating the same we were there and stood queuing for the gate to open around 30 minutes early!!!
I really enjoyed the day & got more out of it than previous years. We did comment about the sheer number of car charging options. How can just getting power into an EV have that many variations. Listened to about 4 of the main presentations and found them both entertaining & though provoking. Most importantly of all got to shake hands with and thank the great Bobby Llewellyn along with a chat with some of the other presenters & James from Clevely EV.

I agree as I’m originally from Harrogate, but have lived down south for 30+ years. However the traffic can be just as bad as down here, especially on the Wetherby Road where the show site is!!! ??????

I doubt it. I got the code from the Easee page on Facebook and it said Fully Charged South. Maybe worth checking the Easee page a bit nearer to the Harrogate dates.

Not quite true. Whilst anyone can buy a Patreon ticket, there's a check on your email address before they issue the ticket. I had to wait a few hours to get it as a result rather than instant.

Luckily, I got on site VIP parking as a long term supported smug
