Pre-heating 21 ZS?

As far as I was aware the 21 model ZS doesn't support pre-heating as there's no app connectivity.

Looking through my Project EV charger app it has a pre-heat mode which will basically start to heat the car once the car is charged to 100%.

This seems to be a fairly "dumb" pre-heat mode but one which will pretty much do all I'd ever want it to do.

Does anyone know if this is actually the case for the 21 ZS or do I need to try it myself once the temperature drops below "bloody redders"? Strangely I don't fancy pre-heating it before a drive at the minute!

Is it the cabin or the battery it's pre heating? I can't see how it can preheat the cabin as there is no connectivity to the controls.

So in the app it says:

"In the case of extremely cold weather, the EV mostly needs to pre-heat and defrost after starting. Once the warm-up function is enabled, when the EV is fully charged, the EV charger will pre-heat the EV, which can reduce battery consumption."

Sorry, the original ( Gen 1 ) does not have the capability to “Pre Heat / Cool” the cabin of the car.
If its in the project EV charger App then it is likely intended for use with other models and not the ZS EV ( Gen 1 ) as it is not compatible.
The Pre Heat / Cooling function was added to the ZS EV face lift model ( Gen 2 ) when it was released.
It is controlled by using the MG Ismart App downloaded to your phone.
The original ZS EV has no hard ware / software installed to allow this feature unfortunately.
Any Pre Heating / Cooling can only be achieved in some crude way, by turning it on manually when the car is in the ready condition.
Of course this means the car is vulnerable of course !.
The HVAC system on the Gen 1 is a manually controlled system, but the Gen 2 model has a climate controlled system.
