Mg4 trophy scheduled charging

I've just tried it with my Trophy and its works fine. I set the schedule in the app, plugged it in and locked the car, it started on time and kept running. A couple of hors later I interrupted it to go out, just got back and plugged it back in and it is continuing. The app still shows the end time so I'll check that it does stop later on but it looks to be working. BTW I'm using the granny charger.

I received my Trophy yesterday and after doing the initial config with Octopus Intelligent so it switches my tarriff over and pair with the Ohme Pro, it was fairly easy to set it to charge.
My installer told me to ignore / disable the pre-defined schedules in the Ohme app so I just deleted them. The settings I went for:
Set my car to accept maximum of 100% battery level. Didn't set any schedules in the car.
In the Ohme app, set it to charge when rates are cheapest i.e. 23:30 to 5:30 and capped it to not charge when rates are over 7.5p (overnight rate) so there's no chance of it charging earlier. Plugged the car and locked early evening and as expected it was not charging. Come 23:30 charging started and it went from 32% to 97% by 5:30 when the overnight rate stops so the charging stopped too.

Hope this helps anyone on OI with the Ohme Pro charger.

Just so you know, you're better off not using the price cap on the Ohme app as that's the 'intelligent' bit (ie will draw charge at the cheap rate even if outside your 2330-0530 window.)

See the FAQs here Intelligent Octopus & Ohme: your questions answered

And particularly "The Ohmes app's price cap feature should be switched off, as all smart charging will be billed at the off-peak rate."

Oooh thank you for pointing this out. I'll do this right now. They must have recently updated this since I read it a while ago. Might make some changes to my config too as it looks like one active schedule is required.

Yep that's what I've got - one active schedule I amend as and when I want to alter the charge - smart price and battery protection switched off on app, don't use the car setting other than to change 80 or 100% target depending on what I want (100% for load balancing or if got a long journey).

It's worked ok for me so far ?
