Warning light on dashboard

Travelling up the A3 yesterday had a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark and on the side of it looked like two blocks touching each other
When I stoped at some light they disappeared
I was thinks was this warning me of a near miss my rear or is there any other reason for this warning to come on

It means "maintain vehicle soon" . It usually comes on when you first switch on. There is a way to reset this in the vehicle settings. Mine has come on 3 or 4 times in only 4000 miles so I'll mention it at the first service. I think this should have been corrected at PDI with a software patch.

It happens every 600 miles or so due to a bug.
