My mg zs ev has dropped on a 100% charge at 273 to a full charge 198, car is only 6 months old. Any one know why?

Don't worry it'll fix itself in a few months...My mg zs ev has dropped on a 100% charge at 273 to a full charge 198, car is only 6 months old. Any one know why?
It's cold out and your mi/kWh is probably at 3 rather than 4 in the summer. My mg zs ev has dropped on a 100% charge at 273 to a full charge 198, car is only 6 months old. Any one know why?
Thanks but do you know why it happens?Don't worry it'll fix itself in a few months...
All batteries in any make of EV are affected by winter temperature. When spring and summer return the predicted mileage will increase. Thanks but do you know why it happens?
Morning Forum,
I have a MG ZS EV Trophy Long Range, I have had the car from new and it was delivered about 6 weeks ago. All the literature that I have for the vehicle mentions the range for the Long Range being 273 miles when fully charged. I find that extending the battery to long Range journeys (100%), I only get between 208 and 213 miles from a full 100% charge.
Is this right and if so, how/why?

I appreciate speed, lights, heat etc all reduce the battery power quicker and impacts on distance, my point is that when it is supposed to be 273 miles range when fully charged its not.... hence the question; charged or fully charged.... regardless of how I drive the vehicle, surely it should start with 273 miles if it's shouldn't it?Hi and welcome to the forum,
There are a number of threads on this just put a few words in the search bar.
The cold and speed are real range killers, wait until the summer to get a better range.
I think you got that the wrong way around. This is the ZS forum. This is the MG4 section of the forum. You might get better replies asking in the ZS section.
@dawson2099 is correct, though, it's winter.
Oops! Must stop following this one!I think you got that the wrong way around. This is the ZS forum.![]()
This is the correct answer, but I will add if you zero your trips you may get closer to the WLTP range but as you start driving it will continually adjust the range based on your historic and current driving style. And you're misunderstanding the answers you've been given. The range when fully charged depends precisely on how you do drive (and have been driving) the car, and the ambient conditions. 273 miles is the WLTP test result range - virtually nobody gets WLTP range in the real world, even under ideal conditions ... and that's with any EV, not just the MG4 or other MG EVs.
Why would you want the car to lie to you, when you're never going to get that range out of the car? It is a GoM (Guess-o-Meter) but at least it tries to tell a semblance of truth.![]()
