It's helpful to have a passenger touching and pressing down 'bits' to see if things change on the move.

Make sure you take EVERYTHING out of the car, pockets, sun glasses holder etc etc.

I've had rattles in the past that were very deceptive regards where they were and where I thought I had heard them.

Are you 100% sure it is a rattle inside the dash or does it sound more like a sharp "Cracking / Ticking " noise that appears to be coming from anywhere across the top of the dash panel ?.
If this the case, it can be be more noticeable when the weather is cold or when the body of the car flexes.
If this sounds like your issue, it has been covered on the forum on both models of the ZS EV.

The left and right hand tweaters in the A pillar can often need fitting with anti rattle tape. The overhead interior light cluster can also contribute to the problem. The windscreen wiper plastic panel that makes contact with the glass is another potential cause.

I have also heard a simlar rattle, especially over un-even roads, on a MG ZS EV Long Range Trophy. It has been there since it was delivered in June. I finally took it to the local MG garage, who have informed me that the steerring wheel column needs replacing. I was pretty shocked when I heard...

Rattling noise in dash near glove compartment

Hi there, Since i have had my car every time i go over a speed ramp or bump in the road i get rattle from with the dashboard which at first i just ignored but now really annoys me.Has anyne else had a similar problem or is it just a case of going back to the dealer although my car is on a lease.

For me it was the rear view mirror , held it in place by hand and noise went way, so put tape on it as couldn’t be bothered to get dealer to sort out , took ages though to find it as it sounded like the rattle was in the dash
