It's been very hot for two weeks (around 25-30°C) and today as I stepped in my car, a notification popped up saying ambient temperature is low and whether I should turn intelligent battery heating on.

The car has a weird sense of humor or its sensors have actually suffered from some kind of hyperthermia.

The temperature sensor was probably still asleep when the car questioned it so the car guessed it was cold and offered to heat the battery.

Another explanation is that the car didn’t any reading from the sensor and the SW’s fail safe feature kicked in and let the driver have the final say.

Hopefully this was a once off ‘glitch’ or your car is indeed suffering from ‘heat stroke’.

Had this happen a couple of weeks ago! Just ignored it…

I had this last summer and told it to stop giving me these alerts. I had intelligent battery heating on for a bit, and it all started again after I turned it off.

There is a tile to click for "don't show me this again."

I had this pop up a couple of weeks back, I think it was on one of the warmest days we have had since I have owned the car, so just put it down to another one of those software design "features" the car seems to have so many of

Yeah, it goes away for a while, but at some point, comes back again. I've never been able to disable the popup permanently despite always ticking the box.

I have just a slider on the battery management page of the app, which is off. If there is something hidden in the car screens to tick, I haven't even looked!

When you turn off the slider you should get a popup Are you sure? type of message ... the checkbox for Do not show is there. :)

I'm another who gets this every now and again. A quick word of warning, once I ticked 'don't show this again' and pressed 'remain off', then checked it a few days later and it had turned itself on anyway, so another case where the software can be buggy. Once the screen got into a loop where it was repeatedly toggling itself on and off every second or so.

It happened to me a few weeks back but hasn’t happened since.

The heater won’t come on anyway unless the battery is at <10C, and considering my usage pattern these days, I’m better off leaving it on.
