iSmart app connection / Digital Key activation issues for new MGs

Hi guys,
The question is only for those that got their brand new MG in the last month or so.
Did you (or still) experience any connection issues with iSmart app or activation of the Digital Key?
The dealer said it's a known global issue and I don't trust his answer so much, so just wanted to check with you.

I had the same issue. I read on here somewhere to do a complete deletion of the app, and do a factory reset on the car.
I did it and it now works!
Only thing you'll lose is radio presets.
 
Unbound the vehicle, Deleted app, reinstalled, factory reset car android. Reconfigured and rebound.
Still didn’t work.
I will give it a day and see
 
Did you also delete account, and clear cache? Not good enough to just logout.

Yeah, you only need look at the App Store reviews to see how poor it is.
No doubt they are aware and a brand new version will come. I will press MG on updates and share response.
The new MG9 has better in car s/w so they are clearly on the case.
