My pod point charger trips out when the voltage at night creeps up to 253Volts . But doesn’t reset itself when the voltage drops.
I’ve asked pod point to rectify this but they it’s not their problem and have not helped.

Can anyone help with this problem?

You need to contact the DNO to monitor your incoming mains voltage

As above, it isn't their fault if the incoming voltage is out of spec. There are ways to reduce it but that action rests with your DNO.

UK mains voltage is 230Vac nominal, but is allowed a variation of -6% to +10% giving a voltage range of 216.2V – 253.0V. If the Podpoint is tripping out at 253V then it's not compliant with UK grid specifications. If the grid voltage is actually exceeding 253V then that's where the problem lies.
