MG4 wipers

When I was researching the car last year these came up as an option
Bosch A721S
Please check this for yourself, it may be wrong but it was suggested by an MG4 owner at the time.
Yes, these are the correct ones. I bought some and replaced the OEM ones as soon as I could!

I used already more than 10 Year Glass sealant on my windscreen ! no worry about the wipers at all ! u used them not so much anymore ! Carpro and gyeon are my favorite also Glaco does the you ok , but you need to follow the prep of the windscreen ! see video :

I've also added these! A721S. £18 with Trade card from Halfords. Fit snug I would say. Main wiper seems to be about 0.5cm shorter (as you can see the difference of stroke on the glass)

After getting hacked off with the stock wipers leaving a smered patch in the middle of the screen I bought a set of Bosch A721S wipers today. So glad I did they have made a huge improvement!

Note to the unwary: I punched my reg number into the tablet thing at Halfords today and it did correctly identity it as an MG4. However, It reccomended 640mm & 360mm wipers rather than the as fitted 600mm & 400mm.

Have to say the XPower I test drove was literally brand new - it's first time out the showroom and the wipers were - AWFUL!

So probably the first thing I'll do when mine arrives is fit Michelin or Valeo ones as I've always found Bosch ones to be cack.

Have to admit looks like Built in China means Built in China!! Thats my Tyres changed and now the wipers!!. Chinese Rubber is not good.
If you think chinese rubber isn't good you should see Czechoslovakian rubber, I had an MZ motorbike that had plastic tyres on.

Big thanks for advice in this thread - been really frustrated with smearing in the centre of the driver's vision on our Trophy. Tried everything, not thinking the "new" OEM wipers would be the likely cause.

I've now ordered some Bosch A721S to replace the ones supplied with the car and hope we get an improvement after a year of struggling!

Just swapped the wipers for the Bosch A721S.

Simple to do and they seem to be smoother.

Won't know for certain until I get to drive in the rain, but I'm hopeful.
You won't have to wait long to find out.

The swap to A721s was one of the first upgrades I did. I might have even bought them before I got the car.

Juddery wipers can be fixed simply with a wipe of silicon spray, brings them back like a good quality new wiper.

My car is now 17 months old and done 23k miles and I have no issues with the original wiper blades. Still work well , no squeals, no streaks , just wipe the edges when I clean the car. When I do replace them I will fit Bosch as I would usually do that. But for now not spending when I don't need to. ?

I never really had judder, it was just the old wipers worked OK on the out-sweep but seemed to lift slightly on the return, leaving a smear exactly in the centre of my vision. The dealer had literally no interest, saying I needed to clean the screen better.

It was really irritating so I did a lot of messing around myself to get a fix.

Cleaning the screen with a quality screen cleaner (no effect), cleaning the blade with a general car wash solution and wipes (no impact), increasing the washer fluid additive concentration (limited improvement), wiping the blade with a thin oil (recommended by an old car mech I know, did help but didn't last a week), slightly tightening the arm to increase pressure (slight improvement).

Changing the blade has fixed the issue immediately - I guess next time I have a question I'll check on here first!!!

I had terrible juddering, smearing and completely missing areas of the window for the first month of ownership. Which is nearly how long it took for these to arrive from Japan ?
Anyway… fitted in ten minutes. Put some overpriced glass cleaner in reservoir and now everything is whisper quiet and clear. If I can keep them out of the sun, they should last a couple of years.

What is wrong with the original?

Apart from the CHx2 "cheap chinese"

They don't clean, they squeal, they scratch window, they lag, they have friction, they sundry quick...

I see most people here are UK - so its right side wheels. If i have left side steering... Is it still the same Bosch aerotwin A721S?

The fittings should be the same. Just check the lengths of your current blades, the Bosch A712S ones are 600mm and 400mm long.
