Checked mine out of curiosity last night, seems to be relatively fine.
A very small dip but I don’t think thats a particular issue?

Still big enough to pick up water/weight. Yours seems to be rather new. Mine was perfect when I bought it. Now mine looks like Siteguru's...

It was installed as part of the annual service (Glyn Hopkin, Chelmsford) - no fuss and when I reported it I honestly expected them to say they didn't have the part in stock. Clearly they do.

I had a steaming row with my dealer about it in April. It wasn't the first time I'd raised the issue. All I got was, the undertray is secure, MG won't do anything, well these undertrays do break, so what, why do you want it flat anyway, and finally, maybe if you contact MG yourself and pay for it... In the course of all this I told them about the Aussie fix and even provided them with a photo from a forum member. Well that's probably something MG Australia has decided to do off their own bat, nothing to do with us, says he.

This was going in in parallel and mixed up with the steaming row about their failure to install R33 at the one-year service despite repeated requests in writing, giving reasons. Finally they agreed to book the car in again for the software update - in September! But when I got the phone call with the booking, out of the blue they said there was a fix for the undertray and they'd do that at the same time. Presumably I get what @YaR has.

I tell you, once this is done they will not see me for dust. I'm prepared to drive to Galashiels, 35 miles away, rather than put up with that patronising, supercilious manager for one more moment.

The bar fix is identical to the Australian one I had installed in January. Possibly they trialled it here in a small market before deciding it was a good fix.

When I lived in NZ I was often amazed at the fact that we got many of the latest hi tech gadgets before other big markets. It was explained to me if there was a recall or a bug required a fix or replacement under warranty it was a lot cheaper in NZ than pretty much anywhere else due to the small size of the market. NZ was chosen due to its hi tech savvy consumer population.

Disappointingly ….. even though the technician was working under the car, there are now finger prints and hand marks on every panel! ?

Had my UK MG4 undertray fixed today with the bar under warranty by Brown & Gammons in Baldock, excellent dealer imho for anyone in the area. Only mentioned it when I took the car in this morning for a software update and both were done by lunchtime, no hassle. ?

Thanks to this thread, I asked the dealer to check the undertray during my first service on Tuesday. Sure enough when I went to collect, they said it was bulging & they've ordered the parts to fix it
