So after watching this guy who dissembled the original speaker (destroyed it) to recover the original space...

I didnt like this approach, you know... if something goes wrong i cant use them anymore.

...then I saw this other guy at youtube using these spacers from a Citroen Berlingo 2008 or Peugeot Partner 2008

and for some reason Amazon in US (where im able to buy) doesn't list french cars... weird.

Anyways, after researching I've found them in eBay for $18.51 but the shipping is $57.80 O_O

No way im going to pay that... it's too much :\

But i do notice these are MDF and not plastic... is this better?

Anyways, what else can i use to add aftermarket speakers 6.5" for our MG4 ?

Please share links of what works and that i'm able to buy from the US market (Im from Ecuador, and that's the way I can bring stuff to my country... since here i wont find anything similar)

If you have access to a 3D printer, you can print your own speaker mounts. Link to 3D model file below.

If you don't have access to a 3D printer, then maybe a local maker, 3D print shop, or online print service could help?
Awesome man - this 3d thing can save me time & money.

Im sharing this file now to see how much it is in my city.

This model is direct fit - made for our cars?

So cool :)

"drill holes on the top surface and superglue the hole and wood screw before threading."

Someone care to explain this? I dont get it.

Yes, the model is designed for MG4 cars.

"drill holes on the top surface and superglue the hole and wood screw before threading."

As it could be used for any speaker and doesn't have pre-drilled holes, I think they are recommending superglue is used to make sure screws do not work loose.

I'd personally buy brass threaded inserts & epoxy them in
Super glue has the tendency to make stuff brittle & on an item that vibrates a lot that wouldn't be great
