Charging a EV on hire

Exactly ? a quick walk round is all.we ever got,but of course the reverse might be true with a young EV owner having to use a ICE car.

Shock horror.

Type 2, CCS, CHAdeMO? It's almost as confusing as:
Left pump is diesel,
middle pump is regular and
right pump is high octane premium.
The new space at the end will be for E5 and
over in the corner is the LPG pump.
Oh did you want 2 Stroke petrol?

But everyone* is used to deciding whether they want petrol, 2 stroke, diesel, premium, E5, E10 or LPG.

So why shouldn't people get used to choosing between Type 2, CCS, CHAdeMO?

* Except a few who keep recovery companies and misfuelling companies in business

No such thing as 2 stroke petrol pump now or ever but you mal8e a good point Phluph.

I nearly took on 50 gallons of the wrong stuff in South Dakota last month - I needed diesel - it’s served from the green hose there ???

I'd have posted pics last night but it was too dark.

Early investors must have loved all the joined up thinking.

Still think a full EV is a bad idea for hire companies, self chargers on the other hand would be perfect for hire.

A bit like the first time you use a self service checkout or an ATM it's easier than you think, it's not hard to do and seriously, when you've done it once it's no problem.

As for rentals, they are fine IF the rental company explain to drivers what they have to do to charge the car. I have met a number of (usually American) tourists at chargers, nearly always in Polestars who just don't have a clue. This is not the fault of the car or the charger but the rental staff/company.
There's always a phone number on a charger that they can call to get help mind you.
