I agree, anything that improves safety has got to be a good thing
My apologies to you but I hope they ignore it, for me if I don't want to drive I'll go back to bus thanks, there is too much already on the MG3, it'd be one more thing to turn off, okay if it stayed off but my idea of a car is to get in and go regardless of type not sit there going through menus turning stuff off every single time.I think it would be a game changer for MG if the Dynamic Cruise Control (DCC) and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) systems worked together to automatically adjust speed in response to changing traffic signs. Integrating these two systems would significantly enhance driver convenience and safety, making it easier to stay within legal speed limits without manual adjustments.
Some premium car manufacturers have already started to introduce this type of feature, where Adaptive Cruise Control adjusts vehicle speed based on detected traffic signs. It would be a notable innovation for MG3 if this functionality were integrated, potentially setting a new standard in the affordable compact car segment.
I've sent this suggestion to MG, you never know, they might take it up and if should be possible to just do it through a software update. ?
The drowsiness alert alone, is a major step towards road safety. We all probably can recall times if we care to admit, where we felt we were nodding off or couldn't remember part of a journey. You can criticise the new safety standards and find them annoying, of course, because they have to be deactivated whenever possible.
Well, the drowsiness alert is one of these new standards for OUR safety, as is the system for starting the car with a breathalyser test, with which the MG3 is pre-equipped.
I don't remember most of my journey, no one told me there would be a quiz, I'm buggered if I know where I'm going half the time, the noise next to me always tells me I'm going the wrong way anyway. The drowsiness alert alone, is a major step towards road safety. I have the deluxe model that points out where I should have parked.I don't remember most of my journey, no one told me there would be a quiz, I'm buggered if I know where I'm going half the time, the noise next to me always tells me I'm going the wrong way anyway.
Hi
I have just changed from a VW id3 to a MG4 trophy. The VW has speed recognition within the cruise which works very well most of the time, however if you set the limit to 60mph and it sees a 40mph it slows down but when it sees the national speed limit sign it goes to 70mph, so not perfect. To counter this it keeps its speed limit info which you have switch off in the MG a big loss
