Just seen this modified XPower on AutoTrader, did it belong to any forum member. Have to say the description does make for amusing reading especially as it starts with...

The Black front badge is a sticker, looks pretty good. Black MG sticker on the tailgate too. De-badged. Overall that looks excellent. 🙂👍

Don't think it's anyone's ,on here. Think we would have seen it, before now.
Looks a nice, well looked after motor for somebody, though. Obviously a good test drive, needed. 🙂👍

That looks amazing !!

There are a few things that look MEH like the badging but all in all this looks amazing !!
not 100% sold on the painted side panel would like to see it all black !

Needs lowering !!

Front windows need to be tinted not sure if thats a UK thing or not In AUS you can tint the front windows but only to darkest legal but with the standard privacy glass the slightly better tint helps!!

But with just a bit of paint and some powder coating ( on them wheels ) that has made the X power a much better looking machine !!

I'd be very suspicious with anything that young, and with that mileage, but that's only because I know what could be wrong with it.

Who goes to all that trouble then dumps it so soon?
you could find its a used car that ( most like has the vibe and the customer said here take your junk back ) but then the dealership has done the tart up themselves to move the car so it could be a dealership thing !!

Ive seen it done before where the dealership paints the wheels adds some after market tartiness to sell the car ..

fancy stripes etc etc

In this case if its done by the dealer apart from the badging which looks terrible the rest looks great !

think ill do the same back out rear bar powdercoat the wheels and paint the calipers and black out the side panels !!

I know EU won't allow you to tint your front windows, very possible these laws were copied by the UK before Brexit (but I don't know enough about those things to be sure).

Mods like that will lower the resale value.
Some people (like myself) don't care about resale value. I own items because I want to use them, not to keep them fresh and clean for some stranger.

Very much doubt the "modding" has been done by the dealer. A dealer a big as Marshalls, just wouldn't be arsed. 🙂👍

Totally agree. 🙂👍

I'm surprised they haven't removed the mods otherwise they would have to include them with whatever warranty comes with the car.

There are more detailed photos here:

That's interesting @Ian Key

So the Elephant in the room.......

Now being sold by Cinch!

They don't sell on behalf of dealers afaik so did Marshall's just get shot of it and Cinch picked it up from Auction?

Looking at the Hi def Cinch pictures someone had gone to an awful lot of trouble with that car and now it's for sale?? Bells Of Alarm.

The stickers are not to my taste but they would have been a right pain to do.
