Hi everyone!
I'm off to Harrogate next week....and 2-3cm of snow is forecast!!!!
Loads of hills...
And the drive I'm parking in is steep!!

Already thinking I won't park on the drive in case I slide down uncontrollably....

Any advice?? Not driven my MG4 in snow before.....

I note there is a 'snow' mode preceding 'eco'....what benefit does that produce using snow mode? Does it work??!!!

I have a set of snow chains but I doubt they will fit the tyre size....can you put snow chains on a rwd LR Trophy?

Cheers!!

I have, and even with the benefit of 4wd struggled with the slightest of inclines.

My Summer tyres were the main reason for this.

All season tyres would have made the incline leaving my home a breeze.

The winter weather never lasts long enough for it to become a viable purchase in my case.

Snow mode gives permanent 4wd in forwards only, it also really slackens off the effect of regeneration braking so as to avoid the rear wheels locking up and causing a skid.

(It might switch if off all together)

Here is the very first post that I can find on the subject.....

As Bricktop says, it's all in the tyres.
(y) definitely!

If your snow chains don't fit and you're going to be doing occasional driving on snow, I'd recommend trying snow socks - having used both, they're much easier to put on and take off.
