Are Cupra being sneaky

My opinion isn't up for debate. It's mine,
not yours. I do my research and I tested a Born before my MG4 purchase.

Please let people express their opinions without feeling you have to challenge them all.
That's rich for this forum

People are free to express different opinions and disagree, of course. But there's a line crossed when there are personal attacks on people's experience or credibility.
Exactly the same goes the other way then but it's not the case is it, if your critical you get shot down and more if your a fan boy/girl/they/them you can get away with saying what you want.
Lines as you say, it shouldn't move depending on what side of the debate you are on and at the end of the day it's a car forum you own one your entitled to your say/opinion

Personal attacks don't get me started, I disagreed with you, you had a test drive I've had a 4 and a born for a year.

It sounds as if you feel this forum is an unfair playing field tilted against critical people.

We must be looking at two different forums, that is not what I see and I have been very vocal criticising MG recently. I am also well aware there are many very happy owners.

I'm choosing not to see any more of your posts. I wish you well.

Christ it's like being at school
Shock, horror, there are better cars than MGs.
There are better cars than all brands depending on your definition of ‘better’.
If you keep banging on about how other cars are better than MGs in an MG forum, expect to be schooled.
You pay your money and you take your choice.
Don’t be surprised that there are people who have paid relatively little money for a subjectively nice looking EV that does decent range and are happy about it.
If you can’t accept that then this is not the forum for you.

At no point was I schooled, I was in a post about Cupra which I gave opinion on as I am probably one of a few or the only member in here that has an MG4 and a Born on my drive so am in a position to make a long term comparison of both.

Of course there are better cars out there, there will always be a better car I am more than happy to accept that, the issue is some people don't think the same.

Two points. First, EV prices are so volatile right now that there are some incredible bargains to be had. But still the Born is several grand more expensive than the MG4, so you aren’t comparing like for like.
Second, it’s legitimate to think that your MG is the best car out there for the money.
Sometimes people won’t include that caveat because to them it’s obvious. And so obviously not true without the caveat. Straw-manning such comments is not productive.

One of the things that made me go for the MG4 was a YouTube video where the reviewer put the MG4 up against the Born. She started off by saying that the Born was considered to be better than the ID3, which made it the leader in the Golf-style hatchback stakes, so how does this new kid on the block stack up?

She went through all the features, and on practically everything the Born was just a fraction ahead. (I think maybe the MG4 drove better.) So by the end it's looking like the Born is the easy winner. Then she said, we haven't talked about price yet. Dropped the bombshell that the MG4 was ten grand less than the Born, for a car that was only just being shaded out by the Born on most features.

She ended up with "Why wouldn't you?" and gave the win to the MG4. My sentiments exactly.
