This, ZS, is the first car for many years that I do not have winter tyres for. Today I looked out and thought that the snow wasn’t too bad. So preheat on, not as good as my Outlander but still warmer car to get into.

I was disappointed with the performance in probably less than 3”. My Outlander with winter tyres went everywhere although I must admit the first winter without winter tyres it wasn’t as good.

Being retired of course means I did not have to worry and turned round, parked it up and enjoyed a coffee at home.

Same here being retired, I've not used the car in over four days as I'm not going out in these Baltic weather conditions dicing with "drivers" who can't drive per the conditions, I got the online shopping delivered & I'm happy as Larry. (y)

It does brake a slipping wheel but it won’t always move the car even with one wheel on gravel on an incline, my guess is that braking the front left wheel also brakes the rear right?

You have to hold your foot well down and watch the power read 50+% to go nowhere.

All season or winter tyres will obviously help. But there’s just no substitute for four wheel drive.

I'm definitely coming back as Larry.
He's always bloody, happy. 😀🙂👍

lot more instant torque in this car so much easier to spin the wheels than with petrol which in snow/ice, you would start in second gear... if living in a snowy place, definitely worth getting spare winter set.

on the subject, anyone tried snow chains on ZS?
