Does anyone feel the engine vibrations through the accelerator pedal in the mg3 hybrid+? I've noticed this more and more as I've had the car longer.

It's a normal characteristic as the combustion engine kicks in. You will notice it more now because it kicks in more often during this cold weather. It does feel strange alright, but it's just the way the system works, I'm not sure if it's the same on other hybrids.

It's not a nice feeling after a while. When you've finished driving you can feel your foot still vibrating. It's odd
In fairness John Travolta, made a career out of that. Seriously though, is it happening more at motorway speeds or after a period of rapid acceleration or just during a normal drive? I have noticed it more, where the engine has kicked in on the motorway.

It will be more prominent in cold weather, when the engine has to work harder. It will settle down as the engine beds in.

I had the same. But I’ve had my car for six months and haven’t felt it since the first two weeks of ownership.
It will be interesting to see if it's the same on the ZS. It should be about the same as it's the same hybrid engine setup.

Michael Flatley might be interested in buying one for practicing on the way back from the shops.

It usually happens when the engine is charing the battery and driving the wheels. In particular when the battery charge is about 50% charged. It's more apparent when slowing down to a complete stop. I'm probably going to speak with the dealer about this as it doesn't feel right to me.

Another quirk is how the engine is high revving over 4k rpm when doing motorway speed and the gears are not changing up to drop the engine speed. The engine speed is also high when coming to a stop. Is this just how the hybrid system is supposed to work?

It is the way it works particularly in low temperatures.

Certainly an odd set up and not a smooth driving experience. It makes me wish I had the option of an extended test drive before I went ahead now haha.
I have found that when i use smooth gentle acceleration and gentle deceleration, instead of brakes, it seems to limit the effect. I did a short 70 mile round trip this morning in -2degrees and had one short instance of pedal vibration during that run. It was when I was acclerating to get up to motorway speed. The rest of the trip was smooth and vibration free. Half of the trip was on country roads with plenty of bends and hills. I have had petrol cars before, that I had to work the car the whole time to get the best of of them. The 3 is a different kettle of fish and I think it works best with a gentle touch.

Maybe I'm not being gentle enough. Although I had a diesel in the past and I didn't feel the accelerator vibrating 😂
