mobile phone problem.

Hi Nicho.
I had something similar, mine is due to the car not connecting to my iPhone. It keeps displaying “ Please connect the mobile phone to the USB port of the vehicle and check the mobile phone settings
Of course the iPhone is already connected and is charging. Anyway we play the merry dance of disconnect/reconnect until the car submits and the map appears on the screen.
I’ve just tried a new approach, connect the phone first, and then start the switch on process. This appears to have overcome the problem, keeping my fingers crossed.
Cheers Noel

I suggest you try using another USB cable for the connection. Sometimes the issue can be related to the cable, as some cables may not work properly for data transfer or charging.

I took your advice and bought a new USB A to USB C cable. USB C is not straightforward, there are many versions. The most important is that it includes DATA, i.e not just charging.
I’m pretty sure the one I was using included ‘data’, but the one I purchased was
10 Gbps Data USB 3.2 Gen2 and apart from one incident, which could well have been my fault, it has worked flawlessly.
