I have a 22 MG5 Exclusive LR (Pre-Facelift).
On the the radio screen I can see my 5 selected favourite radio stations. Below the 5th one, presumably where the 6th would be, there is a greyed out icon which I can do nothing with. Iseems to be a rectangular box with something in the middle resembling a mountain range! I have no idea what it's supposed to do - if anything!
Can anyone throw any light on this please and is it possible to have more than 5 favourites on the screen?
Many thanks.

Can you post a picture of the radio screen?
This is the screen I see. It’s the icon below Radio 4 on the right hand side that I can’t do anything with and I can’t add anymore stations.

That's very strange. you might have to ask the dealer to take a look if you want it sorted but in might mean an hours labour.

Found the solution!! Along the bottom of the screen press the 3rd icon from the right, wiuth the T. On the next screen press the 2nd icon from the top, with 2 rectangles. Go back to the 1st screen and voila! your 6th shortcut should be visible. See attached photos....

Now I'm really curious what that symbol and icon is about. Presumably, now that you have found it in a menu, there should be something about it in the manual.

What does it do? Something about improving reception from distant stations perhaps? Perhaps reducing bandwidth somehow (lose some treble, but at least get fewer dropouts)?

No idea about the icon. I did have a look in the manual but couldn't find anything. Some have said it's possible to have more than 6 shortcuts but I've been unable to add any more than 6.

You can hit the heart above the station info to add a favourite but if you've got more than six you then need to go into the favourites list from the heart at the bottom of the same view to find them.

Now if someone can find a way for the forward and back buttons on the steering wheel to go to next favourite rather than just next station I could get from Radio 1 to 6Music without taking my eyes off the road!
