Hallo everyone,
My question is as follows: Did any of you receive a track & trace of the MG Cyberster he/she ordered? I have been waiting for my car for months now but still do not know when it will be delivered. It would be nice if the dealer would provide the name of the ship so that you can follow the route yourself via marinetraffic.com and see (approximately) when the car will arrive at its destination, in my case that will be the port of Zeebrugge.

I ordered mine from Grantham end of October. I was told 3 months for delivery so about 3 weeks ago I e-mailed and they called me 2 weeks ago tomorrow to say car was in the port so wasn't long to wait now.
I have no information on which ship or any tracking information.

I remember when the first demonstration cars arrived there was a longer transit through customs/port than expected and all the launch events were pushed back a few weeks.

Tried that when waiting months for my order , no success!
Mine came to Marseille, for southern French deliveries, then probably onwards to Avonmouth and then Zeebrugge. Try seeing which car carriers are in those ports?
Stocks of new cars in France are low and there are rumours that MG will not re-stock existing electric models until the tariff situation is resolved. Unfortunately pre-ordered cars might be delayed until its economically justified to send them , as the ships will not be at capacity for lack of stock cars for the dealers. ( Europe ).

I understand that it is not indicated anywhere with which boat the cars come to Europe.
I asked the Dutch CEO why no track@trace (read name of the boat) is issued.
I received a brief answer that the car had been manufactured and was ready for transport (at least a month ago).

So I have to be patient for a while.

Yesterday I went to my dealer in Amsterdam again to investigate where my ordered Cyberster is and when I can expect it. When ordering it was assumed that my car could be delivered at the end of December, beginning of January. Later this was corrected to the beginning of February. Yesterday it turned out after email correspondence and telephone contact with various company departments that it will now most likely not be until the end of March. And they still cannot indicate with which ship it will be transported. Too bad and again in the waiting attitude.

None of those ships seems to belong to saic fleet...

As far as I can tell, none of SAIC ANJI are coming to Europe in the near future. MG also uses other shipping companies such as Wallenius Wilhelmsen. It remains exciting because MG does not pass on data to private individuals .

I have now sent an email to SAIC Shanghai to ask if they can provide more information. Something like that should be possible in this day and age. When I order a T-shirt in China I get at least 7 emails telling me where the package is. I continue to find it a genius in customer friendliness.

The latest news is that there is no news.
They say nothing or they know nothing. Actually, that is a very bad thing. I have to wait until the end of March. As soon as I know more, I will report.

To be fair when I ordered my Cyberster I was provided an estimate of mid-summer delivery. (About 7-8 months out). Being keen to have updates I inquired frequently of the progress. Unsurprisingly I received the same response. Silence. Or, "Best we know is mid-summer". No updates. So I just waited patiently as either no one knew the progress at MG, or wished to share if they did. In the end I received my Cyberster July 30 which frankly is mid-summer. Hence the original estimate was accurate and in reality no updates or confirmations were needed. And no "track and Trace was promised from the beginning. In the month of July I was informed that the Cybersters had landed port and the general processes necessary that will take place prior to delivery. MG in my estimation performed well and as promised. That's good news Razorbez,
May I ask what color combination you ordered? And is the company you ordered van Mossel??
So you have to be patient, waiting for the end is insight.

I picked mine up yesterday. Ordered in October and January 31 was on the paperwork. So it was dead on. Though I had received a call a couple of days into the new year saying it was at the port and when I chased it 25 Jan it turns out there had been some mix up with the transport which had been scheduled for 18 days before but hadn’t happened so me chasing up got it picked up.
