No real upset from me, if it was “road tax” - I know it isn’t no issue as I use the roads. Why an equally heavy old diesel gets away with zero idk.Exactly. There's no logical or environmental reason for the VED on EVs to be so high, especially when other, polluting, vehicles have much lower VED. So this change is nothing more than a money-grab by the Government, because the increase in EVs has led to lower fuel sales hence lower tax revenue from that source.

That’s very odd! I certainly did on 2 process pages……Just done mine. I did not get any 'taxing early' warnings as mentioned at the beginning of this thread and the webpages showed the tax starting in April 2025 but the confirmation email states £0.0 and 12 months so happy. I'll wait a few days to check the database has updated.
