TOWBAR FOR MG 2025 ZS HYBRID+

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to see if anyone in Australia has had success finding a towbar for the all-new ZS hybrid+. I’d like to tow a small trailer, but after checking with towbar installers and browsing the MG website, I haven’t been able to find any available options.

If anyone has any advice or knows what options might be available, I’d really appreciate the help!

Only allowed to tow up to 500kg in the UK, so will not be a demand from caravaners.

Yeah only towing two light bikes on a tiny trailer under 300kg

Just need a towbar for it.

Here in Germany there is a trailer coupling according to MG the accessories but it only has a support load approval for 50kg. I have already read that the car can actually do more as it is approved for 75kg support load in Australia and I was told that this is only because of the CO₂ regulations. There is a rigid 75kg hitch in the accessories but a detachable one is being planned and I am waiting for it now as I have a bike rack that I want to use with the car so of course I have to use my other car (Dacia Jogger Hybrid) every time I want to take the bikes with me.

I only know that in settings there is a Tow Bar icon.

This won't help you but I've learnt from experience in this Forum that MG ZS is hard to find a towbar and get it fitted.
I had problems with my previous Peugeot and Ford and would if buying another for caravan towing the best way is to order a towbar and correct electrics factory fitted from dealer.

For some bizarre reason I like to have mud flaps on my cars. However, when I asked the dealership, they stated that there are no accessories available for the ZS Hybrid.
I have also been told that as the model is not available in China, there will be no aftermarket accessories, on the likes of TEMU for some time. Not that you’d consider buying a tow bar from China.
