MG4 Luxury
Good evening, I have a question. I live in Greece. The average temperature in the summer is between 105 F and 125 F. Can I use the car safely and if not, what should I pay attention to? My car is a MG 4 77kwh with NMC type batteries.

If MG are selling the MG4 in Greece. Then it will be ok. Or they wouldn't sell it there.
Unless, they are as hopeless as MG UK.🙄

Oh and.

🙂👍

Ω και.

thank you very much! and here in Greece not everyone is so correct.. also in our country the electric mobility has started in the last 3 -4 years. there is no so good technical experience yet 😅

Surely 105F to 125F (40 to 50 celsius) is way over average summer temperatures, even for Greece. Also I can't believe you still use Fahrenheit.

From page 296 of the owner's manual:

DO NOT park the vehicle in conditions where the
ambient temperature exceeds 45℃ for more than 15
days. This will effect the performance and service life
of the high voltage battery.

So unless the temperature at night as well as the daytime exceeds 45℃ for over a fortnight and the car isn't used there shouldn't be a problem.

Especially from June to August, at noon the temperature in Athens reaches about 39 to 48 degrees Celsius under the sun on the street. In the evening the temperature drops.

I'm almost at the limit, of summer.🤔

We have similar temperatures, I see, do you have any problems? Do I select remote cooling or does it work automatically?

You have to select remote cooling (or heating) via the iSmart app. Basically you are remotely turning on your HVAC - whether it cools or heats depends on the ambient temperature and your target temperature for the inside of the car. :)

Like @siteguru said it’s something you can activate remotely through the iSMART app. It’ll run for 10 minutes and just affects the cabin air, but is a real luxury on a hot day. I think it’ll let you run the cooling twice before it wants you to unlock the car with the key, haven’t really tested it, as cooling it once before you get in normally does the trick anyway. On extreme days I sometimes run it remotely just to keep the temps down a bit, most days just ten minutes before I get into the car.
