Hi guys
Anybody noticing excess wind noise from the sunroof, mine is getting quite annoying, no air is getting in but the sound is spoiling the car, I was thinking of taking it to the dealers but maybe it’s normal , seems to be more to the back of sunroof.

Probably worth a visit to the dealer as we have never had any noise from ours. Very rarely do we have passengers in the back seats th ough

The roof rails can be noisy depending on the speed/wind direction - it comes and goes. It is not norma an issue though. It’s unlikely to be sunroof wind noise but you can check that it’s aligned ok and sitting in the roof as it should.

I agree, some days the wind noise can be fairly loud and other days not at all.
I am pretty convinced it’s the roof rails that is causing the problem.
I remember reading that somebody had suggested that the wind noise could be caused by the spiral mast of the roof arial ?.
Easy to unscrew and try I guess ??.
If it’s indeed the roof rails, then a quick back to back drive in an excite model would prove our theory maybe ?.
I generally think that issues around wind and tyre / road noise, are always more apparent in an EV due to the lack of any other back ground noise from an engine etc.
Internal noise from creaks and rattles in the cabin are picked up straight away in an EV.
I think the general build quality of any car is challenged in a EV format.
Your ears pick up on the slightest noise due no other mechanical noise / vibration caused by no ICE.

I don't hear any roof rail noise on my MG5 so the basic design must be reasonably well profiled. I suppose whatever noise there is must be exacerbated by the presence of the sunroof on the ZSEV.

No noises on mine, from the roof rails, sunroof or aerial.
Maybe it's the rear hatch top seals ?

i have a wind noise occasionally from the nearside which sounds about the mirror area i have taken to dealers and they think its the door seal and have ordered me one so waiting to hear from the dealer

I have found the rear hatchback can sometimes be not quite fully closed -it seems to need a slam to be sure. When not fully closed you can hear more wind noise than usual.
It worries me a bit because sometimes we carry the dog in the back. However, the door has never actually opened.

There are screw in rubber stops on the ZS tailgate that can be adjusted improve the closure. I’ve not had any issues with a not quite fully closed tailgate though.
