MG5 LR Kers 3 recall, I have had my LR for just over five weeks all going well and pleased with the car. I put my registration into the government recall web page, and my car did not come up as requiring a recall. I had already had a relation follow me down a straight road in a 70 speed limit area. I accelerated to over 60 and took my foot off the accelerator pedal while in Kers 3, I did this twice and was told, that over hands free phone that the brake light didn’t come on, but when the brake pedal was applied they did.
I took my car into the dealership today, to have the green flash plates put, they had not done this on delivery of the car, I had also described in detail what I had done regarding the Kers 3 issue prior to booking in and asked for them to check it out.
On picking the car up after 3 Hours, plates sorted ? but told software was up to date and systems ok, when asked if they had physically tested the car on the road with a driver behind, the answer was in the negative ?, I questioned why as this was a safety issue, and was told they had not got enough staff. I stated that was not good enough, and I wanted it checked. They agreed to contact MG and discuss and book the car back in when they get suggestions from MG. Has anybody else had issues like this?
