Haha sorry Salty! No offense intended. But I personally wouldn't fit them to a high performance car, perfectly fine on a runabout but I wouldn't trust them for speed or cornering 😬
You're fearing this a little too much, unless you are driving your car at the limits all the time.
Pick a decent premium branded tyre with an XL rating and you'll be fine. Think of all the 2.5 ton + SUV's running around on low profile tyres.
As long as you get a decent brand and not...
Anything covered on paint defects? Had a bubble appear in the paint on the front wing too a few months back (not a stone chip or rust) but when I touched that it popped so I had to remove the paint and do a touch up. It was as if the paint hadnt adhered to the primer as that was still evident...

This is the stuff they use, I bought some from a Nissan dealer for £26 in the expectation of doing it myself, as my cars 4 years old, but MG are doing it at its service this month anyway.
Sorry to hear about the issue you're having, I know MG aren't the quickest or the most prepared when it comes to repairs. How many miles has yours done?
I racked up 41k in my previous MG5 over 3 years and the only issue it had was the heater stopped working which took 6 months throughout winter...

They look much better, i did mine back in October when I picked this one up, also moved the black bar above the numberplate so it was less obvious.
Comparison between the old one i replaced and my new one (before I tinted the windows/fitted alloys and lowered).
It won't be under warranty anymore. The only thing warranted for 7 years is the HV battery and 6 years for paint. Everything else expires between 3 and 36 months.
